Delegates Howell and Dittman moved to amend the committee amendment on page 1, in section 5 on line 12 immediately following the word “older” by inserting the following:

:Provided further, that for all persons newly hired for these positions after July 1, 2025, who do not have their high school diploma or GED, those persons must obtain the same within 4 years to retain employment, and the school system shall collaborate with those employees to facilitate earning those qualifications.
